Maun Botswana

After the two day preparation in Lanseria airport (Joahannesburg, South Africa) we flew the first two legs. All going according to the plan designed by Pedro Venâncio.

Five aircraft, Two Piper Cherokee, one Piper Arrow, one Cessna, and one Flamingo (ultra light aircraft), departed South Africa most known city to explore deep inner Africa.

Five Pilots, the main sponsor, one camera man, a journalist, a photographer, a mechanic, a doctor, two logistic responsible and an Aviation enthusiast, together with luggage, humanitarian aid, and image paraphernalia, took off to what, now I am sure will be the adventure of our lives.

Botswana our first destination. Francistown our first stop for refuel and border control where reached avoiding mountains and weather. The route is flown relying on a mankind great invention placed in space.

Pressed by the amazing African sunset, the five aircraft departed again with Pilots at maximum concentration towards Maun. On that stage a magnificent view of the Kalahari desert was offered to feast our mind and soul.

The African sunset was observed with our feet on ground to the  rejoice of all.

The next day was reserved for the fulfillment of our purpose. MOTSE WA TSHOLOFELO preschool and day-care center in Maun was visited by all. The great difficulties that this children face, most of them orphans of HIV infected parents, are minimized by this organization that everyday gather this children and provides them with education and food.

The class was orderly making exercises copying their names with plasticine due to lack of paper.

We offer them paper and pen, and where greeted with an happiness smile of simple content.
